TPT Exclusive vs. Basic FAQ
What's the difference between Basic and Exclusive?
Basic sellers pay a one-time $29 fee (waived for existing sellers), earn 55% on sales, and pay a 30¢ transaction fee per resource. Exclusive sellers pay $59.95 a year, earn 77.5%, and pay 15¢ per resource only on orders under $3. In exchange, they can sell eligible digital products only on TPT.
How much do I need to sell for Exclusive to be worth it?
If you sell nothing outside TPT, Exclusive covers its $59.95 fee at roughly $200–$300 a year in TPT sales. If you also sell on Etsy or your own site, it depends on how much of that income you'd give up. That's what the calculator above works out.
Can Exclusive sellers still sell on Etsy or their own website?
Not for eligible digital products. Exclusive sellers agree not to sell resources, memberships, or licenses elsewhere if those products could be sold on TPT.
Based on TPT's published seller fees as of October 2026: Basic pays 55% with a 30¢ fee per resource and a one-time $29 signup (waived for existing sellers); Exclusive pays 77.5% (80% on sales made until January 1) with a 15¢ fee per resource on orders under $3 and costs $59.95/year. The one-time $29 Basic fee isn't counted in yearly totals. Estimates only; check TPT's current terms before deciding. Not affiliated with Teachers Pay Teachers.
